Change image dimensions by pixels
Use the resize tool when an image has the right content but the wrong dimensions for a website, marketplace, presentation, email or application. Enter the width or height you need and keep the aspect ratio enabled when you want the other dimension to adjust proportionally.
How to resize an image
- Choose a supported image from your device.
- Enter the target width and height in pixels.
- Keep aspect ratio enabled to avoid distortion, unless you intentionally need exact independent dimensions.
- Preview and download the resized image.
Resize versus crop
Resizing scales the entire image. Cropping removes content from the outer edges. If you need a square profile photo or a fixed social-media aspect ratio without distorting the subject, use the Crop Image tool first and resize afterward if necessary.
Upscaling limitations
Making a small image larger does not create genuine new detail. The browser can interpolate pixels to reach the requested dimensions, but an enlarged image may look soft. For sharp results, start from the highest-resolution original available.
